Lauren is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a background in Psychology and Western medicine. She has always been interested in the mind-body connection and through personal experience, came to understand that Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a comprehensive approach to treating emotional and physical imbalances. After working for nearly a decade in the Western medical world, she became interested in helping others find true wellness through holistic and ancient healing methods and decided to pursue an education in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
With her background in Psychology, Lauren specializes in emotional wellness, treating common issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress. She also specializes in treating acute and chronic pain, and internal medical conditions, such as digestive issues, headaches, allergies, insomnia, and more. She is trained in Shonishin, a Japanese needle-free acupuncture technique used with children and adolescents to address a variety of health concerns. In addition to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Lauren relies on adjunctive therapies including cupping, electrical stimulation, gua sha and nutritional and lifestyle recommendations to provide the most complete treatments for her patients.
